Primary Purpose:Under general supervision this position coordinates, directs, monitors, implements, tracks, trains, and reports activities related to External Service Providers (ESPs). Advises and guides the ESPs with the responsibility to secure the reduction of processing time and manpower requirements by stabilizing and optimizing the process of receiving, storing and delivering goods. Also defines and continuously improves the ESPs? processes to meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).??

Essential Functions:(List all basic responsibilities related to the purpose of the position)
?
Assist with establishing targets, tracking and monitoring the progress of the ESP in regards to achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Coach, train and mentor as necessary the ESP activities to improve KPIs as required.

Analyze process solutions in regards to the ESP and evaluate alternative processes solutions.
?
Responsible for fault management, in particular in the case of missing parts or line stoppages. Report status and concerns to Management following an established escalation process.
?
Ensure proper PDCA (plan, do, check, act) implementation and communication in a controlled and standardized approach regarding product, process and people, and the related changes resulting from product and/or process change and continuous improvement activities. Display a high sense of responsibility and work in a reliable and self-motivated way without constant direction.

Support continuous improvement concepts and activities with the ESP to ensure goals are achieved.
?
Coordinate internal and external meetings and activities to clarify problems, identify root cause, implement countermeasures, and report findings. Prepare material and give presentations within and outside the organization, and to various levels of management including the MBUSI management team.
?
Communicate upcoming changes to current and/or new business partners to optimize benefits and minimize cost and/or confusion.
?
Project management for service provider start-ups or new commissions including Ramp-up support for ESP.
?
Monitor Mercedes Parts Center (MPC) database to identify trends, initiate Practical Problem Solving, and implement countermeasures.? Follow issues through to completion and beyond to ensure stable processes. Suggest, review and implement improvements in terms of safety, cost reduction and efficiency. Hands on support of MBUSI plant(s) with issues resulting from ESP(s) performance.

Assist the MBUSI Facilities and/or Maintenance groups in coordinating needed repairs which require an adjustment by the ESP.? Perform random and structured audits of facility to identify any safety concerns, document and report any damages, etc. Assist or lead daily, weekly, monthly, reporting and filing of applicable chargebacks.

Work in project groups and lead and/or coordinate Projects and develop/exchange Lessons Learned and Best Practices.
?
Assist with the creation of specification books, tendering and placing processes and works on the strategic direction of the ESP-Team and their tasks.

Performs other related duties as required including but not limited to year end physical inventories, container counts, missing parts reviews, yard audits, process audits, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all
must be met in order to qualify for position.

Education: Bachelor?s Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or related
area of functional responsibility and/or equivalent combination of education
and experience.

Experience:???
A minimum of 3 years of
ESP management experience within a manufacturing setting with proven analytical
and project management skills.
Proven ability to
analyze current processes, coordinate recommended trials, and implement
measures.
Proven capability and
skills to calculate and plan manpower requirements. (Associated to both series
and project/pilot teams.)
Experience in planning manpower
processes.

Necessary Skills,
Certifications, etc

Working knowledge of SAP
ERP system or other ERP system (JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, Oracle, etc.).
Proven experience in
project planning, monitoring and implementation in Logistics or closely related
field.?
Proficient in Microsoft
Applications (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint etc.).??
Strong planning,
organizational and analytical skills.
Proven experience in
preparing and leading presentations to various levels of management.
Ability to coordinate
meetings, prepare material, and to lead and give presentations. (Internal and
external to the organization, and to various levels of management ? including
the management team).? ?

Preferred Skills:?
ESP management
experience within a manufacturing setting with proven analytical and project
management skills.
Proficiency in MS
Project and/or R-Plan.
Experience in Cost
Management, Sourcing Process Planning and in Material Process Planning is
desirable.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
