Purpose of the Position:
Under general supervision, responsible for analyzing high voltage (HV) Batteries used in vehicles as a power supply. Performs analyses to detect damage, failure, malfunction and other issues on hybrid and electric cars from customers or Mercedes-Benz Dealership. Determine next steps in how to further use the HV batteries based on analysis results.
Essential Functions:
Analyze Function HV/Batteries
Perform different checks and investigations regarding various possible issues such as failures, malfunctions, mechanical damages and unknown damages.
Based on customer complaints and feedback, plan, target and perform various checks and evaluations. Document results and determine the next steps in how to further use the HV battery and perform them, e.g. reusing, scraping, remanufacturing.
Generate analysis reports and archive them in the central IT database.
Generate failure reports in general and for specific issues and presented in different meetings and forums.
Active participation and responsibility in HV- battery failure resolution process from RD to Field process.
Quality Process and Process Improvements
Implement a quality process for the analysis of batteries and maintain this standard. Adapt the process when necessary.
Optimize the basic HV battery analysis process for the specific needs of used batteries while incorporating the experience with batteries returned from the customer in order to increase efficiency.
Coordinate knowledge exchange with other facilities that analyze batteries as well as internal partners within Daimler Corporation to implement lessons learned and countermeasures for different battery issues.
Coordinate HV battery related activities between the stakeholders in the battery processes like Production, Service & Parts (GSP) and Remanufacturing of HV batteries.
Ramp up and Training
Set up business processes for the HV battery analysis task.
Set up and implement HV battery center as part of a team.
Create and prepare a training program for new Team Members for the complete battery analysis process. Perform this training if necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for position.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience:
A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the area of development/design, quality engineering of HV components and energy storage systems, preferably HV lithium-ion batteries
Necessary Skills, Certifications, etc.:
? Basic knowledge of HV battery testing and quality processes
? Basic electric / electronic know how
? HV safety certificates
? Ability to use PC based data processing tools like Microsoft Office and SAP
? Willingness to travel internationally and domestically up to several weeks
? Proven ability to lead cross functional problem solving activities
? Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal
? Conflict management skills
Preferred Skills:
? Proven Project management skills
? Basic German language skills both written and verbal
? Ability to use Daimler documentation & issue tracking systems
? Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
? Experience working in intercultural environment/team
? Ability to deal with ambiguity and work through possible conflicts in a professional manner
? Production experience of HV components, preferably HV batteries

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
